Summary

Support the Quality Department by performing inspection and setting quality testing models for the analysis of raw materials, manufacturing processes, and finished products. Perform meticulous documentation of all inspection, manufacturing, and assembly processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

� Review drawings and specifications.
� Process Flow, FMEA & Product Quality Plan development and submission to customers.
� Assist with problem solving and quality concern resolution (5-whys; Cause/effect diagrams; 8D etc.).
� Utilize Quality Engineering tools and techniques to establish sampling plans, develop quality plans, test methods, conduct process and systems audits, and assist in specification development.
� Apply statistical techniques for quality and manufacturing controls.
� Monitor and help control scrap; including corrective action analysis.
� Participate in internal audits.
� Act as liaison between Engineering and suppliers for non-conformances, including documenting root causes and dispositions.
� Support and assist management in developing, implementing and participating in continuous improvement efforts through process and data analysis.
� Study and recommend quality and/or reliability improvements to the existing products/processes in manufacturing and design development.
� Audit and qualify suppliers.
� Facilitate regular MRB meetings, write meeting minutes and ensure that all issues are root caused and corrective actions implemented and documented.
� Perform other job-related duties.

Qualifications and Skills

� 1-3 years of experience in shop floor Quality Control required.
� Good organizational skills and ability to multitask.
� Ability to read assembly procedures and engineering drawings.
� Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
� Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
� Thorough knowledge of quality systems and quality concepts including experience with ISO 9001 and/or 13485.
� Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T), gauge R&R, PPAP, FMEA and 8D.
� Strong documentation skills.

Education / Experience

� Bachelor�s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Quality related or experience equivalent to an additional 3-4 years in a related field.
� 1+ years of experience in manufacturing quality.
� Experience in GD&T and SPC methods.
� Professional Quality and/or Six Sigma certifications a plus.
� This is a hands-on position and requires an ability to look to the future and offer solutions and improvements
