Responsibilities:
• Strategize project-related modeling requirements with the project team during the project kick-off
• Attend virtual construction, clash detection, and coordination meetings
• Create, edit, and coordinate 3D models using Revit in accordance with H&W Electrical standards
including conduit, equipment, supports, and other electrical system components
• Detail electrical systems in 3D model, spool and prep for fabrication
• Create 2D fabrication drawings in accordance with H&W Electrical standards
• Create 2D shop drawings for field installation in accordance with H&W Electrical standards
• Produce material schedules for procurement using Revit
• Maintain continuous contact with the VDC Coordinator, field leaders and MEP trade team members;
as well as maintaining professional relationships with designers, owners, and subcontractors
• Review work for accuracy and quality in accordance with H&W Electrical standards
• Support preconstruction, prefabrication, and on-site construction teams
• Assist executive team, project managers, and marketing with requests for proposals and bid
presentations
• Assists in the development of the company's BIM-related goals, initiatives, and standards
• Develops new ways to utilize model-based information in various phases of projects
Qualification, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Thorough knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) computer applications, 3D design,
construction documentation and the construction process.
• Software – (experience a must)
1. Revit
a. Modeling of electrical components and equipment
b. Creating, modifying families to meet project specifications
2. Navisworks (Simulate or Manage)
a. Clash detection
b. Create & save viewpoints
3. SysQue/Stratus GTP
a. Model detailing and spooling
b. Creating prefabrication documentation (tagging, labeling, etc.)
c. Various fab shop documentation support

• Create 3D models from 2D documents

• General knowledge of electrical systems and layout
• Demonstrate organizational, collaboration, and communication skills
• Problem-solving and a strong sense of urgency
• Subject to a pre-employment background check and drug screening
To perform this job successfully, the employee must possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each
duty proficiently.
Workflow Expectations:
• 10% Supporting field construction activities
• 75% Drawing & Modeling
• 10% Participation in project-specific and internal meetings
• 5% Training & Personal Development
Education & Experience:
• Working experience with Revit software is a must
• Associate Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or Construction Management preferred
• Knowledge of general construction. Field and/or design experience in the electrical trade preferred
