Program Director

True North K12 Learning is hiring for the position of Program Director for the 2024-2025 Academic Year to direct a K-12 educational program for students who are considered high risk and/or have special needs. This position begins September 2024.  

True North students attend from 9:00am to 1:30pm Monday through Friday following the Rennselaer City Schools Academic Calendar. 

The rate of pay is $45 per hour, M-F 8am to 2pm each day. 

This position is a sub-contractor position and does not include benefits such as health insurance or retirement incentives. 

The responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:

-Management of student success using proactive approaches to student engagement and learning. 

–Management of student behavior using deescalation techniques and/or therapeutic crisis intervention. 

-Management of student activities and needs. 

-Management of Staffing Schedules and Staff involvement. 

-Communication with Parents.

Qualifications: 

– Administrative or Directorship experience.

– Experience working with high risk and/or special needs children at the Primary and Secondary School Level.

– Experience with Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and De-escalation. 

– Ability to easily build rapport with students and staff.

– Ability to think quickly and creatively. 

– Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
