We are seeking an Early Years Educator with a background in childcare to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

Plans, coordinates and teaches age and developmentally appropriate activities, curriculum, routines, and experiences which reflect the philosophy of the Center.
Ensures effective classroom management.
Understand and follow State of Missouri Child Care Licensing guidelines.
Assumes responsibility for children in all areas of the classroom, hallways, restrooms, nap rooms, play areas and when on field trips.
Assist in the care and supervision of any child enrolled in the Center regardless of the child’s classroom placement.
Assists children adjusting to their classroom and daily routines.
Coordinate planning and teaching with other classroom staff.
Cooperate with the Executive Director, Program Coordinator, Business Manager and teaching team to support and maintain a quality program.
Disseminate information to classroom staff.
Works closely with classroom staff ensuring consistency in classroom management, implementation of activities, safety procedures, and parent communication.
Cooperates with other staff.
Hold individual room meetings to keep staff well informed.
Help team members gain knowledge of child growth and development and appropriate activities to promote growth toward next developmental milestones. Study ages and stages of development together.
Check and report attendance of children assigned to designated classroom.
Maintain records and pertinent information regarding the progress of children which may be conveyed to parents during conferences.
Maintains organized appearance of classrooms.
Check each child for signs of illness upon arrival.
Communicate with parents through email, newsletters, daily notes, etc.
Enforce Missouri State licensing and accreditation guidelines.
Attend scheduled meetings,staff development, and special events of CECC.
Attend staff development meetings and conferences provided by CECC.
Acquire state approved training hours required by State licensing.
Ability to lift, carry and support children up to 30 pounds, and stand for extended periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
