Drafter

We are seeking a skilled Steel Drafter to join our team. As a Drafter, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Your attention to detail and ability to interpret specifications will be crucial in producing accurate and precise drawings. If you have a strong background in drafting and are proficient in CAD software, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers or architects
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and objectives
• Utilize CAD software to produce 2D and 3D drawings
• Review and revise drawings as necessary, incorporating feedback from team members
• Ensure drawings adhere to industry standards and regulations
• Prepare documentation such as bills of materials, parts lists, and assembly instructions
• Assist in the development of Steel design concepts and solutions
• Maintain accurate records of all drawings and related documents

Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD software, including but not limited to AutoCAD, Sketchup, NavisWorks, Revit, SolidWorks, MicroStation
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into accurate drawings
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Familiarity with schematic diagrams and electrical layouts
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
