Community Access Services is looking to hire a full-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Aloha, OR, to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a 24-hour residential program.

This social services position earns a competitive wage of $19 - $20/hour, depending on experience. YOUR DAY AS A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP)

As a Direct Support Professional, you work in a group living setting serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You provide the necessary support to enhance their quality of life while following specified individual service plans (ISPs). Some of your day will be spent assisting individuals with their personal needs, like lifting them in and out of wheelchairs as well as helping with self-care and hygiene. You will also be providing support with skill building. You help promote new activities, socialization, and community engagement.

You interact with other staff members and supervisors to provide additional support where needed. You stay informed of our emergency protocols in case of a crisis and ensure that the facility remains clean and all supplies are organized. Safety is of the utmost importance, and you make sure that the well-being of the individual you work with is always a priority. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP)

18+ years old
Reliable transportation to and from work
Desire to serve those with intellectual disabilities
Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred. A valid driver's license and willingness to become a company driver is necessary for some openings.
