Legacy Transportation Services is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic for a local position out of our San Jose office.
The Diesel Mechanics collaborates with other repair team members to ensure a vehicle is safely and efficiently operating to the driver’s needs. The following duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
• Demonstrate safety in all aspects of the job.
• Preforms BIT inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Preforms repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Completes all tasks thoroughly and in a timely manner. Complete work orders on a timely manner.
• Effectively communicate with mangers at all times.
• Ability to diagnose and repair diesel motors.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by putting all tools away; keeps work area clean.
Requirements
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb 14' ladder.
• Knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment.
• Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools.
• Keep attention to detail
