Designer
Northeast Digital Imaging is looking for a designer and printing file prep person for our large format needs.
Some of the responsibilities include almost all aspects of our design and preflight departments. Occasional logo or theme design from scratch or from provided elements. Handle file prep for printing and output, when necessary adding crop marks. This includes verifying sizes, Pantones, whether or not crops and bleed are present/necessary. Sending the clients our PDF proofs to verify content, quantities and media and materials. Responsible for prepping files to send to 3rd party vendors and the associated correspondence. Setting up files with proper parameters and cutpaths for our cutter.
There are occasional site visits, materials testing and customer service and meetings with personnel, clients, and vendors.
Must be able to work with InDesign, photoshop, Illustrator and have knowledge of RIP software, plotter software and basic administration software like excel, word and outlook.
You will be expected to learn how to use the Summa cutter.
We are looking for a good communicator and willing to work under pressure situations at times. The projects change continually. Additionally, customer service will be a top priority, as it is with each employee.
