Duties:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform basic dental laboratory procedures, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using electronic health record systems (Epic)
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow in the dental office
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Provide assistance to pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during dental visits
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating dental restorations

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred
- Current certification in dental radiography
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (Epic) for medical documentation
- Familiarity with medical coding processes
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients of all ages, including pediatric patients
- Experience working in a pediatric dental setting is a plus

Salary: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
