Come work with us here in the Arctic Bush of Alaska at Bettles Lodge this summer!

We're looking for a Chef to cook 3 meals a day, prep, inventory control, portion control, and clean up for our small, but busy Lodge here in Bettles.

Wages include starting pay of $12/hr + time and a half after 8hrs per day/40hrs per week, equal split of cash & credit card tips, 3 employee meals per day, a private “dry” sleeping room with a short walk to the employee bathrooms with showers & washer/dryer.

Increase in wages possible once skill and willingness to get along and work with others is demonstrated.

We expect all employees to be able to get themselves to Fairbanks to catch your flight up to Bettles.  Two, one/way flights are also included in your wages. #1 from Fairbanks to Bettles to start work and #2 Bettles to Fairbanks at the end of a successful season, or if you have to quit, or worst case… your employment is terminated from the Lodge.

Perks for working with our Lodge include; chances to hike under the midnight sun during the weeks around Summer Solstice, Koyukuk River float/s motor boat tours, 7 miles down river to the Ghost Town of “Old Bettles” that was active during one of the last Alaskan Gold rushes that started before the turn of the 19th century, chance on your day off per week to join on our “National Park Collector Wilderness Adventure” that aims to get our Guests boots on the ground in the only 2 Arctic National Parks out of the 63 in our American NP system, paddling our canoe around on our float plane lake and then towards mid-August and going forward, chances to see the Northern Lights!
