About Us:

The Far Post is an indoor / outdoor sports facility providing an ideal setting for adult and youth league play, youth sports development, and recreation fun. We have a beautiful 18-acre campus with a 60,000 square foot fieldhouse (constructed in 2021) that services western Montgomery County, northern Chester County, and eastern Berks County, as well as the greater regional area.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sports Camp Director to join our team. As the Sports Camp Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our sports camps, school break camps, school holiday programs, soccer tots program, and coordinating birthday parties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports, excellent organizational skills, and a strong ability to lead and inspire both staff and campers.

 

Responsibilities:

- Plan, develop, and implement engaging sports camp programs for various age groups and skill levels, including summer camps, school break camps, and school holiday programs.

- Design and oversee a comprehensive curriculum that promotes skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun.

- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise camp staff, ensuring a positive and safe camp environment.

- Coordinate logistics such as scheduling, equipment, and facilities to ensure smooth camp operations.

- Develop and maintain positive relationships with campers, parents, staff, and community partners.

- Oversee the soccer tots program, including curriculum development, coaching, and parent communication.

- Coordinate and execute birthday parties hosted at our facility, ensuring a memorable experience for party guests.

- Learn our facility software management system to tailor registrations for the programming you will oversee.

 

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Recreation Management, Sports Management, or related field preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a supervisory role within a camp or recreational program.

- Strong knowledge and background in various sports and recreational activities, with a focus on soccer preferred.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

- Must pass a background check.
