Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality 3D animations for various projects, including games, films, and advertisements
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop and implement animation concepts
- Utilize animation software bring characters and environments to life
- Develop and refine character movements, facial expressions, and overall animation quality
- Incorporate motion graphics and visual effects into animations
- Assist with post-production tasks such as editing and rendering

Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in 3D animation software
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite for motion graphics and post-production tasks
- Solid understanding of animation principles and techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines

Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) technologies
- Knowledge of rigging and character setup for animation

This position also requires working with and instructing adults with developmental disabilities enrolled in the JDSCA job-training program as they learn video production and post-production, and assisting the participants as they create their video projects from start to finish.

Working knowledge of Maya, Adobe Creative Suite /Premiere, After Effects, Audition, and Photoshop is essential. Knowledge of video production, virtual sets, working with broadcast cameras, audio, and live streaming are also helpful.

This position is full-time scheduled at 37 plus hours a week M-F 10 - 6 PM. There is some flexibility with hours. There is an average of 5-10 additional hours of OT a month requested, weekends are involved 6-8 times a year, and overtime and double time can come into play.

Job duties are not limited to this job description, and additional duties may be assigned. All employees support the nonprofit where and when needed.

JDS Creative Academy is a nonprofit that requires all hands on deck for events, productions, and programs, this can include moving things around the studio, painting, building, and chipping in where needed to ensure organization success to the best of everyone's ability.

All employees are to ensure the JDS Creative Academy job-training program is running in an appropriate and productive manner which includes prompting and redirecting program participants when necessary.

Employment is conditional on having a clean Background Live Scan, and the new hire will need to get CPR and First Aid certified within the first 30 days of employment, if not already CPR certified, prior to employment. Any incurred costs will be reimbursed. JDS Creative Academy is a nonprofit 501c3.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
