Festival Hours: 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Working Hours: 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Scheduled Dates to Open: 02/18/2023 - 04/09/2023 (32 days open).
Location: Pullen Park, 520 Ashe Ave, Raleigh, NC 27606
Who we need:
We are seeking a hard-working individual with extensive event experience to lead our operations and logistics on event days.
What this role will do:
Oversee event operations and lead team through opening and closing
Ensure event and venue are fully prepared and organized for daily execution of the operation
Hold daily pre-shift and post-shift event staff meetings to keep everyone informed of updates/problems/progress
Maintain the physical condition and appearance of the venue, including equipment and facilities
Respond to all elevated staff/guest inquiries and or concerns
Day of event point of contact to assist customers, vendors, and park administration team
Work through and correct customers concerns and complaints regarding event and customer service-related situations
Collaborate with event organizers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful events
Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, and separation process of event staff
Prepare scheduling on a weekly basis
Complete required paperwork in timely manner
Complete any workers compensation paperwork as needed and follow through with process
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
At least one year of management experience in the events, festivals, or hospitality industry required
Skills in customer relations/staff relations
Prioritization of duties and effective communication skills
Weekend and evening availability is required
Ability to lead, delegate, and a willingness to get your hands dirty
Ability to handle multiple tasks/issues at one time effectively, with an upbeat attitude
Turn potentially negative situations into positive ones
Communicate well with team members and managers and foster an atmosphere of unity and camaraderie
Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions
