Theatrical Set Designer
Music House Inc. is currently seeking a theatrical set designer and builder for upcoming productions of Footloose and Aristocats KIDS. The set structures will be utilized for both shows but simply redressed to suit the transition from Footloose to Aristocats KIDS. The position would involve:
- collaborating with the director on the design
- drawing basic plans for the build (CAD or technical renderings are NOT required)
- utilizing the flats and materials already on hand and proposing a materials list and estimated cost
- collaborating with director and producer to coordinate load-in, build and strike days
- coordination to acquire supplies or truck rental to obtain supplies
- load-in and building with the support of additional Music House staff
- director and other staff have previously handled set dressing and painting but this is flexible
- strike
Show dates are June 18/19 (Footloose) and June 25 (Aristocats KIDS). Load in and build will be around the first or second week of June. Strike will either be on June 25th or 26th. Please apply with confirmation of availability, resume, and images of previous work.
