Occupational Therapist

We are currently seeking a qualified and licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) to evaluate/ re-evaluate our In-Home patients in Long Island, NY.

*This is a per diem job, with flexible scheduling hours and flexible location coverage, therapist to choose to cover one or more of the following areas:

Bay Shore
Bethpage
Deer Park
Dix Hills
Farmingdale
Hicksville
Holbrook
Huntington
Islip
Lindenhurst
Massapequa
Melville
Oyster Bay
Plainview
Syosset
West Islip
Westbury
Woodbury

And surrounding areas.

Therapist will perform evaluation and re-evaluation sessions to assist patients in reaching their treatment goals.
Therapist to use appropriate therapeutic procedures, therapeutic exercises and therapeutic modalities while providing patient education.
Advise a patient's treatment plan as appropriate and in accordance with New York states law.
Follow up on patient's health by interviewing the patient, obtaining, updating, and studying therapy histories.
Document patient care services by charting in patients and department records.
Perform therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises, non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily living activities; and in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes and prostheses.

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Occupational Therapy is required.
Must have valid New York State OTR license.
Liability insurance.
Completes appropriate paperwork as needed.

Special Requirements:
Demonstrates good body mechanics and mobility/strength, also good communication skills to work with patients.

Salary: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
