Job Description: 

DMH Technologies is the leading technology installation partner in the US hospitality industry. As an independent Contractor representing DMH, you will be part of a technical team that will be deployed to various hotel sites throughout the United States to install the latest technology solutions. This position requires travel up to 95% of the time and all travel expenses will be paid by DMH.

Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Lead onsite field technicians during the implementation process to ensure installations are completed on schedule and according to the scope of work and customer standards.
  • Deploy network equipment throughout the site according to the scope of work documentation. This would include: switches, firewalls, routers, wireless access points, UPS’s, and other network devices.
  • Test and troubleshoot network equipment and devices to given specifications
  • Update installation documentation such as port-maps, network diagrams, etc.
  • Test systems and perform signal verification throughout the network
  • Design, Configure and Implement network equipment according to customer standards.
  • Work with other engineers, technicians and members to improve the network design, configuration, and implementation processes.
  • Manage and update network installation documentation, providing the AS-BUILT necessary to effectively support the customer’s equipment, pre and post installation.
  • Conduct site surveys of potential customer’s network, including but not limited to signal strength testing, evaluating cabling requirements, labor requirements, equipment needs, etc.

 

Qualifications for the Job 

  • Available to travel every week within the United States
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to work on a team and with limited supervision
  • Experience/ knowledge in Structured Cabling is preferred. 
  • Must have a good attitude with the ability to work well with coworkers and customers.
  • Be physically fit enough to carry materials & hardware, climb ladders, work on your feet for long hours at any given time. Able to lift over 50 lbs. Capable of bending, lifting, crouching, and leaning over for long periods of time. 
  • Ability to interface with clients in a professional manner.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) with a customer focus.
  • Expert Network administration and support skills. Complete understanding of network implementations, network protocols, and network topologies.
  • Experience with configuring and installing Routers, Firewalls, Internet Gateway Servers, Layer2/3 Ethernet Switches and Wireless Access Points in commercial/Enterprise environments.
  • Ability to work under time constraints.
  • Great prioritization skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Experience with WIFI Survey and Predictive Analysis Software and tools such as Air Magnet and or Ekahua Site Survey, Fluke WIFI Testers are a plus.

 

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited four or two year college, university, or technical school with major course work in computer science or any equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge.

 Experience:

  • At least five (5) years related experience.
