Floral Event Assistant
Wander + Whimsy is a floral design studio based in Lanham, MD that creates artful, organic, personalized floral and event designs for their wedding and corporate event clients.
This position is to join our WEDDING SET-UP AND BREAKDOWN CREW. This is a 1099 independent contractor position with most opportunities on the weekends and evenings. Candidates should be self-motivated, attentive, and willing to be a team player.
We offer an hourly rate of $15/hr for set up and a flat rate of $100 per event strike. You will be able to sign up for event set-up and strike dates based on your availability.
No floral design experience necessary.
Responsibilities Include:
- Punctual
- Availability to work nights and weekends
- Assist with floral designs onsite
- Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a very busy environment.
- Strong task and time management abilities.
- Must be well organized, have a strong work ethic and dependable.
- The ability to work well in a team environment.
- Load and unload supplies and inventory
- Set up event rentals and floral designs
- Clean up and strike event at the end of the evening
Requirements:
- Positive attitude and friendly demeanor
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods, and lift up to 30 lbs.
