Digital Signage Technician

Site #1 - Standard scope is to change out 4 media players (one player per screen, some sites may also have an Order Status Board – (OSB) screen which will need to be swapped as well). Screens, media players, power bricks will all be taken down, new player wall plates installed, new players and power bricks installed, and screens put back up. Parts are shipped to site and two techs are required for install.

** Some sites will have only 4 data outlets and an additional 8-port switch will be sent for install, please review Install guide p. 6-8 **

 

SCREEN POSITIONING Screen install must be levelled to the bottom of the soffit and bottom of board run must be NO MORE THAN 2” up from the bottom of soffit– in addition, for air flow purposes, top of screen run must be a MINIMUM of 3” from the ceiling and side walls: any install which will vary from either of these criteria must be approved PRIOR to proceeding.

 

 

Special Tools Required for this WO:

a. Laptop with wired keyboard and mouse *keyboard must be wired, no USB/Bluetooth*

b. Optional: Portable monitor w/HDMI ports will improve commissioning time

c. Samsung remote

d. USB-C to ethernet cable (if laptop does not have ETH port)

e. USB drive (3.0 or higher; 8gb min/32gb max)

f. 6ft/8ft ladder

g. Basic hand tools

h. Diamond drill bit for tile

i. Painter's plastic to cover food prep area.

j. Socket adapter with sockets for Lag bolts

k. Cordless drill / Apex bit / Drill Index

l. Torpedo level + a 4/6ft level

m. Zip ties (black) for cable management

n. Cable Tester/Crimper/Punch down tool/electrical tester/data tester for continuity

o. Box Cat6 cable/modular ends; RJ-45 ends/caps

p. Fish tape

q. Electrical tape

r. Keyhole saw

s. Misc plates, keystone plates, recessed gang box or single gang receptacles

t. Digital display cleaning supplies/Micro fiber cloth

u. Sawhorses and plywood for workspace

v. 3" lag bolts

w. (16) EZ Snap toggles with Hex bolts and washers (in the event there is no backer present)
