• Coordinate summer and winter camps, trips, and events for high school and middle school students.
• Advise high school students regarding educational and social issues; help them get accepted into
college.
• Communicate with students` parents to organize events and make plans for students` futures. This task
requires me to learn university requirements for acceptance such as: congressional awards, SAT
scores, GPA requirements. If necessary, I take action in arranging SAT tutoring courses, suggesting
beneficial events regarding universities to parents, and collecting money to rent camping houses and
tents.
• Participate in volunteer activities with high school students. Searching for volunteering opportunities
on websites, such as ------------, or giving students tasks to find volunteering activities. I also
provide students transportation to and back from volunteering events.
• Supervise five other mentors who give middle school students classes that pertain to their moral
education. Organize meetings to discuss, analyze, and improve our teaching methods. During these
meetings frequent topics of discussion are how to deal with kids, how to talk and teach in a manner in
which kids would understand, how to reward kids without spoiling them, and how to punish kids
without losing relax student teacher environment we have created.
