Vice President - Design

Recruited to return to New York & Company to reverse a down trending business. Reported directly to CEO, collaborating on strategies with a specific focus on revitalizing the Seventh Avenue Design Studio.

? Fostered new energy and excitement for the Seventh Avenue assortment, introducing new styles, fits and fabrications to the pant and shirt assortment generating nearly $100 million annually.
? Developed a team of 8 Designers and Associates, recruiting new talent and developing an efficient self-motivated team to design and develop 12 seasonal deliveries annually.
? Facilitated the corporate speed-to-market initiative with hands-on work trips to Europe and Asia to expedite the product development process.

Recruited to elevate the brand to the next level in product design, quality, and brand image. Drove merchandise strategy, spearheaded brand development and developed additional brands to enhance the assortment.

? Directed design and development of a $145 million business, focusing on innovative fabrications, silhouettes, and maternity technology across Casual, Wear to Work and Dressy divisions.
? Launched the Wendy Bellissimo brand, a profitable omni-channel concept targeting millennials. Elevated the assortment with fashion relevant content, generating $40 million in its first season.
? Frequent travel to Europe to conduct trend/market research and to Asia to develop seasonal collections with partner/vendors.

Director | Vice President - Design

Directed Design and Development for all classifications of a $500 million business. Supported merchandising and design strategic initiatives to drive profitable sales results. Determined seasonal concept, color, print, and pattern direction. Partnered with Merchandising, Visual Merchandising and Marketing functions to ensure the design vision.

? Conceptualized and launched the Seventh Avenue Sub Brand, establishing New York & Company as a Wear-to-Work destination. This evolved into the cornerstone of the business, generating nearly 50% of total volume.
? Conceived and launched the Red Label Collection, a premium, fashion collection introduced across multi-channels that captured the essence of Modern New York Style. Volume built from zero to $15 million.
? Supervised design team of 12 professionals through 12 seasonal deliveries annually, interpreting seasonal and global trends into brand cohesive assortments.
