Period Inspired Garments Spring 2017
● Researched the history of fashion, from the 1500s to today
● Ideated, sketched, and fabricated an 80s inspired garment
● Illustrated women’s garments inspired by each decade
● Altered basic patterns in order to change the silhouette and created new garments
Sewing and Construction Fall 2017
● Sewed in a variety of hand stitches and machine sewing techniques
● Sewed a dress following a pattern using hand stitching and machine sewing
● Created a tailored pattern to fit a woman model and fabricated it from upcycled
cotton dress shirts
Fibers Materials and Processes Spring 2018
● Learned techniques of hand embroidery, including thread, beads, and sequins, as well as tambour embroidery with thread, beads, and sequins
● Learned methods of goldwork and soutache as embellishments
● Learned both tapestry weaving and bead weaving on a loom
● Created a garment using goldwork techniques Fibers Design Studio Spring 2019
● Designed and created a zero-waste garment
● Designed and created a transformable 4 look (8 piece) collection with a theme

t-shirts and bags
Design Experience:
● Art2Wear is an annual student organized and designed fashion show by
students in the College of Design at NC State University.
○ Events included a pre-show event at the Contemporary Art Museum
of Raleigh (CAM) and the show at Talley Student Union.
● Exhibited transformable clothing line utilizing drawstrings and created using
upcycled 100% cotton knits
● Recruited models and coordinated their hair and makeup looks
● The annual Art2Wear show and events were cancelled due to the Coronavirus
● Created a 6 look collection of interchangeable pieces to combat fast fashion mentality
● Created bags and altered accessories for the collection
● Designed and screen printed t-shirts and bags with the collection name
● Recruited models for fittings and coordinated their hair and makeup looks for
Fall 2017
● Created patterns and sewed the basic bodice, skirt, and pant
photo shoots
NCSU Crafts Center Class - Fashion Illustration Fall 2017
● Explored various techniques, including gouache painting and collage, for fashion illustrations
