CAREER EXPERIENCE

Orlando Music Den
Apopka, Florida
Manager: Marc Durance
September 2019- June 2020
Piano Instructor: Weekly piano instruction along with substitute teaching as needed.
Reinforcement with note recognition, high importance of counting in timing, quality of dynamics implemented.
I also thoroughly enjoyed working with song writing with my students as well.

Note: During Covid I also met with students via Zoom or video chat for lessons

Wintrust Bank
Highland Park, IL
Manager: Tom Groth
February 2018 – August 2019
Bank Teller: My many responsibilities included assisting customers who needed to do their daily banking
business, balancing my cash drawer, coin machine, vault, ATM machine, opening and closing the branch,
and working the drive through window. My customers were my first priority. I wanted to be sure they had
a pleasant experience and that they had their needs attended to in an orderly and efficient manner.

Piano Instructor, Self Employed
August 2004 – Currently
I travel regionally to teach piano in family’s homes and instruct them individually based on their level of
difficulty/skill. I teach scales, theory, importance in note reading, and rhythm, and creativity through writing
music as well as improvisation. I use method books and additional sheet music for purposes of
broadening skill and enjoyment. The various styles of music I incorporate in our lessons are: classical,
contemporary, jazz, decade music, and worship.
I also have prepared Junior High and High School students for adjudication for solo ensemble each year
and witnessed great growth in their musicianship along with new challenges faced.
Recitals are of great importance and usually host one once a year to allow the students an opportunity to
perform among others. I would love to continue to allow for more inspiration and growth in each individual
encouraging and challenging them as they aspire to continue in their gifting.
Overall, the most important thing to me is that each student finds enjoyment in the area of music one is gifted
in. I have averaged between 5 students to 25 a week over the years. 20+ would be the range of average
weekly taught.
