ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Data Compression- Huffmann Coding and Compressive Sensing Mar 20-May 20
• MATLAB based project for data compression technique. Using Huffmann coding algorithm (lossless compression) and Compressive sensing (lossy compression) for the given sensor data the MATLAB code is generated & the plots are discussed.
System-Level Design for a Mobile Wireless User Terminal Oct 19-Dec 19
• Designed a simulation reference system for GPDCH subject to Rician flat fading using MATLAB and designed a demodulator for such a fading channel with QPSK modulation.
• The performance analysis was conducted for different doppler frequencies(i.e. performance of BER to Eb/No=1, 2, …,7dB). The effects of using maximum ratio combining, convolutional coding were also observed
Microprocessor System- Design of SDRAM Controller Apr 19-May 19
• Designed an SDRAM controller that allows SDRAM memory (MT48LC8M8A2) to be interfaced with a microprocessor (80386DX) having only asynchronous memory support.
Low Cost LCR Meter. Oct 18-Dec 18
• Developed the circuit and C code for a low cost (<$3) LCR meter commonly used in electronic labs.
• Programmed interrupt enabled timers to measure the capacitance, inductance, and resistance of the components.
Placement and Routing Design Flow
• Using cadence Innovus fond minimum core area which passes placement and routing without error.
• Investigated and analyzed how number of metal layers affect total wire length and minimum core area.
Wireless RF Transmitter and Receiver.
• Designed an antenna for transmitting and receiving data through RF signals, in which the transmitter and receiver can be isolated over a distance and data can be transmitted successfully.
PAPER PRESENTATIONS
Cognitive Radio - An approach to overcome spectrum scarcity. Mar 18
• Proposed how unutilized frequency bands can be implemented for proper utilization of spectrum using Cognitive Radio.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
• Program Assistant in TexPREP -Assisted instructors throughout TexPREP, a Project Based Learning summer enrichment program for Middle school & High school students.
