Statement of Pedagogical Goals
Each student deserves arts education in their daily curriculum. I feel strongly committed to
deliver arts education curriculum in each art form to students. As a multilingual teacher,
born and raised in Cuba, I am interested in expanding my work with students, and art s upon
my experiences as a teaching artist, drama teacher, and choreographer. My aim is to take the
challenge of creating comprehensive and strong Arts diversified curriculum. Research
indicates that there is great potential for academic, intellectual, and personal growth when
students experience the arts in their core curriculum. With arts integration, exposure to
performing and working with professional artists in the field, I expect to see the best in every
student I work with.
