My name is Jackie Wydysh, and I’m a recent (but not so recent) graduate of the University of Vermont. After I graduated I decided to make the move out west to give more thought to my future career, all the while keeping music close. And after giving it much consideration, I came to the realization that I would love nothing more than to settle down and work in Nashville (quite possibly one of the greatest cities I could dream of), while challenge myself at your company.
In college, I obtained some administrative skills while working for the Attorney General’s consumer assistance program. The job required advanced knowledge of four data-bases as well as all available information on consumer law, while simultaneously taking phone calls from consumers. My recent event coordinator position for Rockstar Beer Festivals taught me how to schedule travel/ music arrangements for myself and others, many times I have had to efficiently alter within a financial budget. For my band MELON, I ran our marketing on all social media platforms, raising our attendance numbers enough to break records at five local venues. I believe these experiences will aid me at your company with the administrative functions for on-air and online fundraising campaigns, as well as fundraising and community events. I appreciate that your company is non-profit and community based. I supported by local classical music radio as a child because I loved the idea that my friends and family cared about it too. It brought us together to preserve and stand for something special.
I am extremely interested in learning all there is to the music industry, both creatively and administratively. I work well under pressure and have been described as a people person and “go-getter” from previous bosses. Thank you very much for taking the time to read about me.
