Volunteer Experience or Leadership
In 2015, I was nominated for The National Society of Leadership and Success. Students are nominated based on academic standing and their demonstrated leadership. Due to successfully

completing the necessary steps and courses (i.e., orientation, leadership training, speaker broadcasts, success networking team meetings, and induction), I accepted my Certificate of Leadership Training, which honors my achievement and lifetime membership in the Society.

Since the spring of 2008, I have been assisting with building ramps for people who have disabilities, but cannot afford to pay for the lumber nor the labor involved in the building of the ramps. Most of the time, hospitals and nursing homes will deny a patient from returning home unless they have a sufficient ramp attached to their home so they can safely and easily get in and out of their home. My duties often change for each ramp we build, but mostly consist of cutting the lumber to the correct measurements, assembling the ramp itself, and transporting lumber from the truck to the site where the ramp will be built.
