I studied film at Columbia College in Chicago, known for having one of
the best film departments in the country and I graduated with a Bachelor’s in
Cinema Arts & Sciences. Thus far, I’ve spent five years in broadcast, and I’m
looking for my next creative challenge.

EXPERIENCE
PHOTOJOURNALIST / EDITOR, TRIBUNE MEDIA/WREG MEMPHIS TN 2015 - 2017
My duties were to film newsworthy events and happenings, interview subjects and get their stories, and then edit those stories for our local broadcast. I covered everything from art exhibitions, WWII veterans, protests, lawsuits, and social issues, to shootings, briefings, accidents, and more.

PRODUCER / EDITOR, NEWSY CHICAGO, IL 2017 - CURRENT
I gather, shoot, and/or archive footage from various sources to create visually
engaging stories on social issues with far reaching implications. Anything from
race and politics to art and wellness. Strictly behind the camera or computer, I
investigate, talk to experts, and write stories.

EDUCATION
COLUMBIA COLLEGE CHICAGO, CHICAGO, IL — BACHELOR OF ARTS: CINEMA ART
& SCIENCES
I studied cinematography, editing, screenwriting, and film marketing from 2010 to 2014. While my focus was in screenwriting, though, we were required to learn all aspects of filmmaking and encouraged to learn some new things. I also studied acting, stage combat, tai chi, lasers & holography, nanotechnology, French, Japanese, and more. I graduated with a 3.6 gpa.

SKILLS
Overall, I have extensive experience with most editing and motion graphics
software including Final Cut, Premiere, Avid, After Effects, and more. I'm also
proficient with a variety of Sony, Canon, Red, and Blackmagic cameras. I know
how to research and investigate, I know how to interview, and most importantly,
I know how to tell a compelling story visually and narratively.
