Research Assistant, Social Environment & Stress Lab August 2020 – present
Dr. Camelia Hostinar, Department of Psychology, UC Davis
? Current meta-analysis project with the University of Denver to examine the links among social support and BMI/obesity.
? Screening over 1400 research articles for lab projects using the Covidence online system.
? Duties include recruiting families to participate in ongoing research studies and participate in the necessary roles of experiments. Inputting data, coding various videos and biological data.
Research Assistant, Healthy Emotions, Relationships & Development October 2019 – present
Dr. Paul Hastings, Department of Psychology, UC Davis
? Current project is focused on the Jordan Joint Attention to develop and evaluate a community-based reading intervention program in Amman, Jordan. Responsibilities include examining how mothers and children coordinate their joint attention during a series of dyadic interactions and how it changes over time. Additionally, the study will explore how physiological stress influences the development and coordination of parent-child visual attention using electrodermal activity and heart rate variability analysis.
? UNC Girls Project with cardiac impedance and electrical impedance data analysis. Responsibilities include collaboration with others to identify problems in physiological data correction, provide advice and develop agreeable solutions.
? Review and revise manuals for physiological data analysis. Adept at synthesizing data from large, vague data sets over 300 participants.
? Meta-analysis with the specific influences of unpredictability in children’s lives, summarized 63 available literature and experiments related to family instability.
