•Organized pamphlets, books, and other paraphernalia by date and subject in preparation for cataloging, by searching for listings in the OCLC and world databases.
•Assisted with an authority project for the art school’s G. William Jones Film Collection records. Using various Internet and print sources, I researched the name forms of film artists and directors, seeking out the most accurate forms of their names and birth dates, and then updated the 700 fields with the information.
•Worked on 050 and 090 cataloging of foreign art books, paying attention to the decisions involved in the process. Steps included creating a call number, adding descriptive fields to a basic publisher’s record for detail, and adding the adjusted record to the OCLC world database.
