Experience
Saatchi & Saatchi LA 3501 Sepulveda Blvd. Torrance, CA 90505
At Saatchi & Saatchi LA, I completed a summer internship as a Strategic Planner, which emphasized research, data analysis, and professional writing skills. I worked on the Global Olympics team and helped develop a Cannes Gold Lion winning campaign for our main client, Toyota. I also participated in an isolated intern project, in which we formulated a full campaign for the Toyota Corolla from the ground up – a project which would ultimately transcend its status as an intern-only project and be presented to Toyota.
KCPR – Cal Poly Radio 1 Grand Ave. San Luis Obispo, CA 93407
At KCPR, I was on the management team as Editor in Chief, as well as an author and a disk jockey. As a disk jockey, I exercised my ability to curate music, culture, news, and information to put on a two-hour show of what students on campus needed to know. As editor and author, I focused on the analysis of artists – new and old – to reflect upon their work and give our audience an understanding of their importance. I also conducted and wrote interviews, album/song reviews, and delved into the local culture. Overseeing the editorial team allowed me to develop my planning, team building, and leadership skills.
Ernie Ball Music Man 151 Suburban Rd. San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
In the Artist Relations position with Ernie Ball, I was able to get my start in the music industry while applying my talents in writing, interviewing, social media, copy writing, and marketing. Working with one of the most well-known names in the guitar industry, I became acquainted with their star-studded roster, supplying them with the essentials while on tour and providing exposure via blog and social media posts. Aside from assisting with their groundbreaking String Theory and All Access series, I headed the weekly Follow Friday and Metal Monday articles on the blog, covering on-the-rise artists in the Ernie Ball Family.
