Castles in Communities (Ireland Archaeology Program) as Staff — July 2017 to August 2017
- Personal Research project involved the primary school students and their teachers as we evaluated the impact of our excavation on the local town
- Was the leader of a house unit, worked as the organizer and person responsible for knowing the whereabouts of my housemates as well as help to organize groceries and taxi services for students and staff
- Worked as the medical assistant by treating secondary injuries, assisting those with physical disabilities and other pre existing conditions on site.
- Worked in the Anthropology lab catalog and take photos of artifacts as well as tutor new students in the process help to make the lab uniform
I was praised for my problem solving skills and slow to anger attitude that I used to placate members who were irritable or otherwise upset so that our productivity and their spirits were up. Students often came to me with their problems so that I could be used as an intermediary between them and the directors. I was also praised for my hard work and ability to easily communicate with the locals helping bridge the gap between students and locals.
