I am a hard-working graduate student looking for a part-time job. I am currently obtaining my EIT certification and have experience in lab work, manual labor, driving, research, and water quality. I am currently enrolled in a remote master’s program with University of New England analyzing wastewater management of large-scale aquaculture. I am seeking part-time employment while finishing my degree.

EMPLOYMENT
Research Assistant
Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO / March 2019 – September 2020
• Research on engineered stream beds under ReNUWIt labs (Reinventing the Nations Urban Water Infrastructure) through Mines
• Conducted variety of lab tasks (pH, conductivity, sample collection, hydraulic conductivity experiments, column studies, ICP, etc.)
• Construction of 50 ft long flume beds for experiments, plumbing of system, pump configuration, and other miscellaneous tasks
• Stormwater literature review / Contaminant literature review (trace metals, trace organics, PFAS, etc.)

Field Technician I
Highlands Ranch Metro District, Highlands Ranch, CO / May 2016 – August 2018 (Seasonal)
• Operated company work trucks and trailers maintaining parks
• Long hours working outside in public parks
• Worked on irrigation and general park/sports field maintenance

RELEVANT EXPERIENCES

Master’s Thesis – University of New England
My thesis is focused on the wastewater management of large-scale Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS). It researches the treatment systems available and in use at RAS facilities, in an effort to determine the overall sustainability of RAS.

Engineers Without Borders – President/Treasurer /Project Lead
I was the former President and Treasurer of CO School of Mines chapter of EWB. Gained experience with soft skills, project management, leadership, financial planning, executive decisions, communication, etc. Also spearheaded and led a domestic project with CECorps on graywater filtration in Denver.

Undergraduate Research Student on Artisanal and Small-scale Gold Mining (ASGM) in Colombia
I was a part of a NSF funded project on ASGM in Colombia focused on community and co-creation to mitigate the use of mercury in ASGM communities and remediate environmental damages caused by ASGM.

Environmental Engineering Field Session – Colorado School of Mines (Summer 2018)
I worked in a group analyzing a recent remediation project on an abandoned mine site in Empire, CO. Took water and soil samples for further laboratory analysis. Also worked with/tested a variety of different water and wastewater treatment methods.
