Professional Experience

Editorial and Social Media Intern
CR Fashion Book - May 2020 - August 2020
At CR Fashion Book, fashion editor Carine Roitfeld’s personally curated fashion bible, I worked a dual internship focusing on both editorial work and social media management simultaneously. Day-to-day duties included news sweeping and writing daily news posts for CR’s website, brainstorming, pitching, and writing trendy and creative article content for the website, reporting on Summer 2020 Fashion Week collections, transcribing interviews, managing the daily social media schedules for Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, and writing creative copy for these aforementioned social media platforms. At CR, I gained unmatched experience in working in a fast-paced High Fashion magazine setting, while learning to successfully balance creative and technical tasks with precision and ease.

Editorial and Reporting Intern
The Riverfront Times- Sept. 2019-Dec. 2019
As an Editorial Intern at The Riverfront Times, I worked directly alongside staff editors in the newsroom, writing creative and smart copy for local news stories and events. I specifically worked alongside RFT’s Food and Dining editor, with additional published content in the News, Arts/Culture, Music, and Film sections. My responsibilities included attending relevant events in the St. Louis area, such as restaurant and event openings, communicating with PR personnel, conducting on-site and phone interviews with various St. Louis personalities, photographing event content for digital and print releases, and writing articles and posts for RFT’s weekly published issues. My work has appeared in both the online newspaper and in the weekly print editions. At RFT, I received hands-on experience in journalism and editorial work by creating original content, pitching ideas, and overall operating as an integral contributor for the website.

Social Media Coordinator
The Spectacle Magazine- Feb. 2019-February 2020
At The Spectacle Magazine, I operated the Instagram and Facebook pages for a national online literary journal. I worked daily to engage readers and encourage submissions by actively updating various social media platforms and creating eye-catching graphics and captions that coincided with the magazine's brand and image. I also had the opportunity to work alongside the magazine's nonfiction editor, reading and editing potential submissions for the magazine's bi-yearly published issues.

Editorial Intern
The Common Reader- May 2019-August 2019

At The Common Reader, Washington University’s premier academic journal, I had the opportunity to create an original feature piece for publication on TCR’s website. I worked closely with the journal’s editors, pitching ideas and honing my creative writing skills. I also had the opportunity to create and curate the aesthetic of the Instagram page for the journal. Alongside these tasks, I also partook in baseline editorial work, such as fact-checking, editing, and proofreading pieces for the journal. Since the Pandemic, I additionally was commissioned by TCR's editor-in-chief to write two published pieces for the journal's Student section, reflecting on the Pandemic's effects on student life.
