As an intern, I gained skills to assist me in my chosen legal strand by translating recordings from Spanish to English of inmate conversations, and served as an interpreter during meetings between a prosecutor and a Spanish speaking witness. I prepared and mailed and/or otherwise caused subpoenas to be served for trial and depositions. I attended trials, observing the evidence, and taking notes of my impressions which I then shared with the prosecutor. I also closed out files, copied documents, pleadings, and exhibits, as requested, and perform such other duties, as assigned.
