Utilizes passion for direct service to advocate for TAY (Transitional Age Youth) both in and out of crises.
Understands the importance of and builds rapport with youth by remaining honest, genuine, supportive, and fun.
Works on a multi-disciplinary team to dismantle stigma surrounding mental health via art, advocacy, and community.
Provides strength-based, trauma-informed case management when outreaching to youth experiencing homelessness.
Hosts culturally humble and educational events, workshops, and presentations with innovative, self-created curriculum.
Created an MOU with the San Diego Unified School District, as well as Justice Court and Community Schools.
Supports youth in legal proceedings and maintains consistent contact with justice-impacted youth.
Comfortable speaking, engaging, and presenting to community partners and organizations.
Adopted the duties of program coordinator, and effectively managed the program through transition in leadership.
Successfully implemented programmatic changes to provide an avenue for previously unserved TAY.

TAY Council

Appointed, as the Peer Support representative on the TAY Council, to participate in public, monthly meetings.
Collaborates with community organizers to dissect and prevent barriers to access.
Champions youth by speaking for the betterment of TAY services.
Acts alongside county representatives on various subcommittees to recommend action on prevalent TAY issues:
o LGBTQ+ accessibility and representation
o Youth experiencing homelessness
o Mobile crisis response (e.g. PERT)
o Social and emotional wellness


Center for Community Solutions
Sexual Assault Response Advocate
November 2018- Present

Volunteers as an advocate on the Sexual Assault Response Team.
Works weekly to ensure that all victims/survivors of sexual assault have an advocate present at time of forensic exam.
Advocates for the victim/survivors comfortability and consistent understanding of the reporting process.
Cooperates with a team of nurses and law enforcement in order to provide trauma-informed care for rape survivors.
Provides confidential support and files paperwork according to the wants of the victim/survivor.
Connects survivor to further services including legal support, therapy, and permanent advocacy.
