When working at Basic Beginnings South, my primary role was to assist the Lead Preschool Teacher with Instruction and to maintain a safe learning environment. I would also assist during meal times and bathroom breaks. This job really required being patient and understanding that these children were still learning how to communicate their thoughts and feelings, and knowing that each student has different strengths and weaknesses, and need to be wholly supported and encouraged to build the confidence they need to build on what they already know. I would also love to work here or in a similar position once this pandemic passes.

Graduate Research Assistant
09/2018 - 12/2018 Wyoming Natural Diversity Database at University of Wyoming 1000 E Grand Ave, Laramie, WY
While working for the Wyoming Natural Diversity Database, I assisted graduate students in their research projects. My main priority was a research project on Bumble Bee populations in Yellowstone. My role in the process was to identify different insect species and sort them accordingly.
I also received the Queen Bee Keeper award while working here for discovering an invasive species among our collections and taking steps independently to remove the invasive species and restore the insect collections. I then reported to my superiors and continued to work as a team with my colleagues to move the insect collections to freezers as a precaution to protect the collections.
