Briana Diehl Resume
My name is Briana Diehl and I am a current junior at Texas Christian University pursuing a degree in Fashion Merchandising and a minor in General Business. I am looking for the opportunity to expand my knowledge of the industry through an internship this summer. For my major, it is required that I complete a full-time internship the summer before my final year of college, and I believe that the opportunity at CLD PR would be a great fit for me. I believe that I can use the skillsets that I’ve acquired from my academic studies as well as my prior and current experiences in the industry and apply them to an internship in either the PR and rental showroom/celebrity team or business development departments. Although I have interests in both of these departments, I am open to learning more about each one so that I can decide which one would be the best fit for me.
My most recent experience that I have had in the industry has been for the Hasson Costa Showroom at the Fashion Industry Gallery in Dallas, TX. After having interned there for a few months, they changed my job title to Sales Assistant from my beginning position as a Wholesales Intern. I was then given the opportunity to go work for Hasson Costa at the Coterie Show at the Javits Center in New York City. Working in this showroom has given me more confidence working with and communicating with buyers. Additionally, I’ve been able to experience a fast-paced environment which will be extremely helpful as I will be prepared for the pace of the industry in general. I’ve also learned how to use Joor, an online platform for buyers and wholesalers, to take orders for buyers. Overall, I have gained a lot of knowledge of how to drive and encourage sales whether it has been through communication or the way in which we have displayed the brands for the buyers.
I should include that I am living at my home in Indiana this summer, so working remotely would be the most ideal option for me. However, I do have a place to stay in California if it works best for this internship for me to move out there this summer. I would love to talk further about that. Either way, I will be available any four days of the week, as I am prepared to dedicate my summer to this internship. I would be able to start the internship as early as June 1st if it would be done remotely.
