Assisted Dr. Turman to implement a Middle school health and academic promotion program which focuses on health and wellness, and second semester focused on mental health importance.


Researched maternal and child health leadership, and workforce development opportunities with grassroot leaders in high poverty area zip codes throughout Indianapolis.


Attended meetings with Dr. Turman�s colleagues from Morocco and supported with their projects which consists of using community building strategies to reduce infant and maternal mortality in Indiana and Morocco; in which one outcome was the creation of a smartphone application to improve birth outcomes in Morocco. Assisted gathering data and information for manuscript which includes themes from women's storytelling experiences about reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth, and infant rearing practices.

Worked under Dr. Logrip's supervision and assisted with her research focused on sex differences in the addictive Neuroscience laboratory.


Regularly assisted with PhD student�s projects, neurosurgery of bilateral amygdala cannula implants, operant box studies, female swabbing, alcohol administration, and infusion treatment of the cannula. My thesis focused on stress-alcohol interactions between male and female brains, and how their adaptation to stress responds to alcohol stimulus.


Research assistant Internship�|�Regenstrief Institute�|�may 2020 - august 2020


Attended daily huddle meetings hosted by Dr. Malaz Boustani along with the Center for Health Innovation and Implementation Science department. Worked with Dr. Heidi Lindroth on her postoperative recovery club for delirium called iPREPARED with patients at Indiana University Health Hospital .


Role was to research literature, recruit, schedule, and conduct interviews on their assessment of delirium before and after surgery. Each interview was audio recorded, transcribed, and uploaded to IU REDCap for further analysis and record keeping. Working on a first-author manuscript with Dr. Lindroth and her colleagues at the Mayo Clinic to identify the neural underpinnings for i-PREPARED and generating theoretical hypotheses of the transactional model of stress overlaid with the perception filter and corresponding brain areas.
