VIPKid EdTech Company Beijing
Project Manager 2018 - 2019
• Started with a small team of myself and two Northern American members, then formed and led a large, multilingual team of curriculum designers, assessment specialists and North American independent contractors.
• Owned One to Many online classes education product lines servicing 100,000 of paying, active users.
• Managed core project from 0 to 1 that resulted in successful, on-time launches, low-customer refund, high active user rate, and low customer negative feedback.
• Created multi-faceted, multi-media education products that served teacher, student, and parent user needs.
• Developed the core product that took a fast-paced startup from thousands of students to biggest K-12 online education company in the world.
• Owned as a leader and mentor to ensure both team members and independent contractors’ retention.
Project Coordinator-Teaching Specialist 2017 - 2018
• Collaborated with the product team and engineering teams to develop a live stream One to Many online class platform for users and independent contractor teachers to increase 10,000 class consumptions.
• Analyzed IC Northern American users performance data and hired high quality teachers to increase students and parent retention rate and satisfaction rate from 89% to 95%.
• Standardized hiring and training process for core project to ensure it could launch online automation.
• Established rubric for teacher performance evaluation and improved class quality.
• Coordinated with the marketing to set the Guinness World Record by having the most simultaneous students.
