COOPER ERNST ------------ / ------------/portfolio-2/
Nov. 25th 2020

To Whom it may concern, I am a senior at New York Universitys Tisch School of the Arts studying Film and Television production. I specialize in Visual and effects, animation and graphic design and with this background, I believe that I would make an excellent addition to your team.
I have worked as a freelance VFX artist and VFX Supervisor for many years now. Recently I have been the VFX supervisor and department head for Star Wars: Kybers Creedence in which I ran a department of visual effects artists working on a Kevin Smith project. Working on a production where the visual effects were so pivotal to the story was an immensely fulfilling process. However, it was also an informative one. The production was a bit disorganized in departments other than my own and often there were many fires to put out. Fortunately, we were often able to find cost saving, and efficient VFX solutions to these problems. The director went as far as to say the VFX department is the saving grace of this production. I see myself as a creative problem solver and a team player and I have loved being able to use VFX as tools to this end.
Contributions to my former Game Development Internship at Manifest Global Media, and this field at-large, revolve around my ability to develop complicated ideas and make larger than life media ideas a reality. I have developed strong communication abilities and fostered a reputation as a key contributor through innovation and collaboration skills. As a team player, I am collaborative with peers, searching for ways to integrate valuable insights. Through these qualities, I have confidence in my ability to facilitate positive change and collective effort. For a greater illustration of my background and qualifications, please review my enclosed resume. I am eager to speak with you about this opportunity and thoroughly appreciate your consideration.

Sincerely, Cooper Ernst
