Objective
To be part of a team where my electrical engineering and managerial skills can benefit the company I work for and further in my career.
Education
University of San Diego May 2017
B.S. and B.A in Electrical Engineering

Design Projects
Senior Design Sep. 2016 - May 2017
 Project manager for the development of an islanded nano-grid powered by renewable energy. Project completed on schedule and exceeded minimum requirements by 40%.
 Designed a PCB, using Eagle, for a 13 Amp charge controller to charge and monitor two 12V DC batteries.
 Designed, implemented and tested a power control and distribution system for a solar powered islanded nano-grid enclosure.
Embedded systems Jan. 2015 - May. 2015
 Designed and developed code to monitor sensors and control motor functions for an autonomous robot that avoided objects, using a BASYS 2 board and Assembly Language.

Professional Experience
Raytheon | San Diego, CA (Electrical Engineering Intern) Jul. 2012 - Sep. 2012
 Established a strategic plan with milestones for the development of a mobile surveillance system using Microsoft Project.
 Researched, developed and presented a mobile surveillance system design to 40 Raytheon employees.
U.S. Navy | San Diego, CA (Supervisor) May 2004 - Aug. 2010
 Developed and executed monthly, quarterly, and annual training programs for a team of 8 personnel that resulted in a 25% increase in career advancements over the previous year.
 Implemented procedures for locally documenting equipment faults and corrective measures taken, reducing equipment downtime and resulting in 100% equipment availability during multinational USW exercises.
 Directed the installation, testing, and verification of an AN/SQQ-89 On Board Trainer, resulting in the validation of the commands training capabilities.
 Coordinated over 200 schools for 168 personnel in mission-critical positions, resulting in the command meeting 100% of all mission-critical positions necessary for deployment.
 Supported over 300 staff and students by leading the military component of testing and evaluation. Evaluated over 40 instructors and developed study plans for over 30 students during academic review boards.
 Performed analysis on pre/post-test data collected for over 160 students and developed monthly training quality indicator reports, resulting in a 10% increase in student retention over the previous year.
 Managed a budget of $90,000 annually as one of three command card holders. Reduced expenses 17% by implementing budget planning and GSA price comparison procedures for purchases.
 Resolved 144 Academic Training In-situ Testing Environment (ATITE) trouble calls. Analyzed testing procedures and established guidelines that streamlined the test formation process. Reduced the need to resubmit duplicate test requests because of test creation errors.

Skills
 Proficient with schematic reading and troubleshooting electronic and electrical equipment
 Proficient with standard test equipment (Oscilloscope, function generator, frequency counter, digital/Analog multimeter and AC/DC power supplies)
 Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio
 Experience with VHDL, C, C++, Multisim, Mathcad, Matlab, and Solidworks
