About Informed Capital Management:
Informed Capital Management (ICM) is a private equity firm formed by senior industry executives to acquire and operate lower mid-market private companies. Both Partners have proven track record of leading diverse teams to achieve ambitious targets in various settings within small and large organizations. ICM aspires to bring Partners’ expertise, networks and work ethics to a privately owned company to enable further growth while making a positive impact on the customers, employees, investors and community.

About the Internship:
ICM interns will be empowered to participate in every stage of the search and possibly acquisition process including opportunity identification, outreach, business model evaluation and company due diligence. Interns will work closely with both Partners learning about the industries, business models and financial aspects of acquiring and growing a successful company. Please note this is an unpaid internship!

Start Date: January 29th

End Date: May, TBD
Time Commitment: Part Time (Desired: 20hrs/wk, Minimum: 10hrs/wk ) for at least 12 weeks

Location: All interns must work in our office in Durham, NC.

Learning Opportunities:

− Management consulting (PWC, BCG, McKinsey, others)

− PE/VC firms

Required Qualification:
− Passion and drive to achieve stretch targets despite multiple setbacks
− Unrelenting energy and positive “can do” attitude
− Demonstrated superior analytical abilities and attention to detail
− Strong verbal and written communication skills
− Demonstrated ability to understand financial statements and generate insights
− Excellent aptitude toward learning and applying IT tools
− Experience with financial modelling

− Identification of relevant niche sectors within broader industries of interest
− Sourcing of potential opportunities
− Creation of opportunity databanks
− Creation and maintenance of CRM database
− Communication with multiple stakeholders
− Conducting company specific due diligence
− Stakeholder relationship building
− Participation in team activities
