OBJECTIVE
To obtain a position where I can use my experiences of being a 8 year navy vet, a GED teacher, a christian counselor, and a sales consultant, to be a help in providing solution to a challenge. I am very enthusiastic and self-driven, I�m a team player, but also very self motivated with a wide variety of experiences and skills. I�m seeking opportunities to plant myself to grow into the role I need to be. I am currently seeking to get my certification in equipment operator, crane operator, and forklift operator.
FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY
I have a strong educational and work ethic increasing experience background and am a very
hard working dependable person. I believe that knowledge is the key to a successful career and
life.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
Welder/Pipefitter � Over 1480 hours of general welding techniques with concentration in the
following: Interpreting blueprints, reading layouts, fabricating fittings, cutting thread assemblies
and fitting pipes for welding. Proficient in the operation of general welding machinery. Broad
knowledge in the Threader and both Stick and MIG processes, plasma acetylene torch cutting
processes, threader and TAC welding and joining techniques. Worked with various tools, e.g.,
grinders, cutters, welders, threaders, and specialized hand and power tools, use of different types
of pipes including carbon steel, plastic (PVC), and stainless steel.
Carpentry/Other � Completed basic course in Carpentry with 1000 hours and Certifications in Various duties included: making cabinets, beds, tables, picture frames, picnic
tables, night stands, doghouses, swings, etc. Also I have 100+ hours operating a forklift and
bobcat during class and skilled in the operation and use of a variety of woodworking tools and
equipment to construct, design, install, and repair cabinets and structures.
Over 1500 shop hours
of experience in Hotel Management, skilled in retail store clerk operations, Storage and procurement, U.S. Navy deck
hand, 5 year GED instructor and tutor.
And as a hobby I love to barbecue and have opened up my own bbq food trailer right outside of the Prairie View A&M campus.
