FREELANCE VIDEOGRAPHER/CO-OWNER, ATROPA STUDIOS
I coordinated clients and established marketing protocols for the start-up video/photo services production/post-production company a colleague with similar professional interests and I decided to start. This was borne out of freelance frustrations; and taught me the basics of starting a business, forming a legitimate business plan, legally generating contracts, and more. I would also operate equipment of my own as well as rented equipment in order to make the vision of each client a reality. I produced my first music video, too! I was a camera operator, a photographer and a graphic designer (I made our label) on the team which also featured a stylist. I coordinated meetings and gathered props and supplies as well as assisted in most post-production duties. Had to disband due to partners desiring a new direction towards publication.

A FLOWER JUNCTION
03/14 – 11/14 AUSTIN,TX
Hired as an administrative assistant, I answered phones, processed orders and flowers, and I negotiated with middle man companies such as FTD, Bloomnet, etc. as well as floral wholesalers for the best price. I helped route the delivery drivers and maintained/stocked the cooler. Regularly made bows, cards, and greened vases. Provided floral design support on top of my usual administrative support on busy holidays which is how I got interested in floral design and the industry itself. Frequently assisted the owner with invoicing and keeping financial record of wholesale accounts. Left due to an opportunity to get myself into an assistant sales position with the wholesale florist we used most at the time.
