WORK EXPERIENCE
Teacher/Couch/Caller: Aloha center
Objective: To teach children math using an abacus.
Description: My job was to teach kids between age 8-12 math with the help of abacus. I was hired separately to teach kids too. Calling parents giving progress reports of every child and calling them for all major work or competition was part of my job. I was a substitute for advance level teachers.
Learning: I learned how to use the abacus and how to deal with parents, how-to guide them on phone or explain to them about new course introduction,
Internship: Utopia designs
Objective: To explore sketching & basic software techniques.
Description: In 4 months of internship in 2012, my job was to sketch object to learn anthropometrics, drafting space plan on grids to understand scale, measure the room and create your new space planning ideas
Learning’s: I learned to give quick sketches of ideas, perspective/3D views and basics of AutoCAD software and taking measurements.
Internship: House2Home by Sheeba Arora.
Objective: To deal with real projects
Description: During my internship period in 2014, worked on a flat and a showroom(clothes). Learned to deal with the agency and explain your ideas to your seniors to understand what will practically work on site.
Learning’s: How to handle and communicate with different types of agencies, how to work in a team.
Internship: CK Architects
Objective: To learn concepts from the seniors and work accordingly.
Description: I worked for a month as an intern and later was hired as a full-time employee, during the internship I got the idea of the work and adjusted accordingly, started with simple space planning and furniture design.
Learning’s: This internship helped me on getting an idea on how to work on future projects in detailed form. Keeping the client’s requirements in mind and designing furniture or color concepts.
CK Architects – April 2015 to September 2019.
Senior Interior Designer.
Worked for Indian based company, my role was to meet clients, understand their requirements and design layouts (space planning, furniture design, kitchen, toilet, ceiling, lighting, flooring) with proper detail and dimensions and provide 3-dimensional views if required on AutoCAD. Explain drawings to the agency and visit sites occasionally, worked on bungalows from construction level that gave me knowledge of architecture, apartments, office spaces, restaurants, and showrooms (clothes, jewelry). Customize furniture for space. Teach interns and make them familiar with the workspace.
