During my time at University I was a member of the committee for the monthly music magazine. This role saw me organising events for the society and running and organising all of their social media pages. Over the summer of 2018 I ran the bar at the Lion Inn, serving as a barman during the busy evening shifts and as a waiter during the lunch hours. My tasks saw me oversee other members of staff upon occasion, both opening and closing the bars and making sure things ran smoothly.

October 2016 – April 2017 – STAR Volunteer (Student Action for Refugees)
During the year at university I volunteered every Tuesday evening teaching English to refugees from various countries around the world.

Volunteer at Tutshill Primary School May 2017 - July 2017
Volunteer helping teach music to a reception class for 2 hours every Wednesday at Tutshill Primary School.

Working at festivals over the weekends, I was based behind the bars either restocking the shelves or working at the bar serving customers.

January – April 2013 – Part-time volunteer at British Red Cross Shop
Working once a week in a busy charity shop. My duties included assisting customers with any queries and organizing stock ready for sale.

Outside of my academic studies I am very interested in music and play both the piano and guitar and will soon be taking my grade 7 in guitar. I am currently working towards my Grade 5 piano and hope to take the exam in the near future. Recently I have been employed to perform at a variety of events as a singer/guitarist, which has been both enjoyable and successful. I also was a host of a radio show at URN (University Radio Nottingham) hosting the Indie hour on Tuesday evenings.
