I manage the Northeast Region of Missouri. I have productively attained and retained Social Security benefits for children in my region. I have an excellent rapport with the Social Security Administration and Children’s Division as I act as a liaison amid the two. I do professional case reviews and evaluation work for the Missouri Department of Social Services, Division of Finance and Administrative Services (DFAS) involving determination of eligibility of children in the custody of the State for Social Security and/or Title IV-E programs.

FSD JCPC - Family Support Eligibility Specialist
I successfully reviewed and scrutinized cases for breach of confidential information. I efficiently processed applications for Medicaid coverage. I was one of the two person team for the entire state of Missouri VFR communication. I was the person to handle emergent cases, cases that needed immediate attention. I responded to inquiries, resolved issues and pursued support when required. This is a not for profit organization I created from the ground up. I began this endeavor out of a passion for attending conferences, retreats and additional gatherings for Christian women. I have successfully organized annual fall retreats for women from across the state of Missouri. This retreat has remained fruitful through advertisement all by word of mouth and social media. I have prioritized and organized every phase, reserved lecturers, entertainment, and acquired numerous volunteers and funding. I manage all pre-event planning, organizing and delegate duties; coordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget; produce post-event evaluation to inform future events and research opportunities for new clients and events.

This was a newly created position. I was able to make it my own. I created numerous reports to track information needed to comply with federal grant money and UDS reporting. I successfully created curriculum in English and Spanish for females based on trimester of entrance into care. I made myself available to my clients via cell phone 24 * 7. I committed myself to seeing them through a healthy pregnancy. I was involved in writing proposals for grants. Provided Obstetrical patient education resources to clients and expediting entry into comprehensive prenatal care through onsite scheduling. Met one on one with clients, acquired patient education material, taught classes, attended health fairs, initiated online health education and other programs. I coordinated quality assurance to improve birth outcomes through population management, care coordination, performance measurement and process improvement. Tracked clients and facilitated care from onset of pregnancy. Collected data and comprised reports. Remained knowledgeable of community resources and served as a liaison between organizations to increase utilization of complementary services to assure access to comprehensive Obstetrical care as well as other service lines.

We took a skill set we had and the determination of hard work and made this business soar. It commenced with just the two of us and then we quickly had several crews. We were considered the top in our field centered on skill and professionalism. We acquired new residential contracts through to federal government contracts and continued to grow. Our children have now taken on the company. I managed the day to day operations and administrative functions of drywall contracting office including: scheduling, manual labor, on the job training of new employees, marketing, prepared reports and presented proposals. Finance areas: Accounts receivable/Accounts payable, including payroll, payroll tax documentation, bank reconciliations, collections, and inventory and purchasing. Human Resource functions including: benefits and filed all time sensitive forms for taxes and licensure, maintained all appropriate employee files and records, and recruitment of new employees.

I was the Medical Directors’ right hand person. He would depend on me to communicate instructions and recognized that it would be done appropriately. He would depend on me to initiate IV placement and draw laboratory specimens. I established a medication log for entire facility to track used and non-used medications. I was accountable for ordering medications for facility. I aided the medical director and RNs on the floor. I was thorough in medical documentation and provided exceptional patient care. I would attend meetings on behalf of medical provider.

On Call Medical Center (temporary) - Jun 2003 – Jan 2004

In this position, I was educated by the physician on how to do lab draws and process specimens. I was a first-rate apprentice and went on to do this exceptionally well. I performed DOT physicals and Workman’s Compensation physicals. I was able to distinguish clients which were “deceitful” on drug tests. I had the trust of assisting the medical providers while performing medical procedures, medical documentation and providing care.

During this position, I was able to learn procedures. I assisted the Ophthalmologist with assessments and procedures. I educated new employees that came on to the job in insurance billing and collections. I could look at a HCFA 1500 and discern immediately if there had been a billing error. I knew all of the insurances and all of their idiosyncrasies and how to get around them. I was in control of auditing all charts to ensure the claims were submitted properly and within timely filing. I made daily contact with both patients and insurance companies by telephone and resubmitted claims to insurance companies if needed. I held the responsibilities as an OSHA officer; I created ongoing quizzes and instructional videos.

Howard Johnson Express Inn & Super 8 Motel (temporary) - Jan 1996 - Jan 1998
General Manager
This position was temporary. I had understanding of the hospitality industry, growing up with a father that managed hotels. I was appointed to come in and overhaul the hotel. My principal purpose was to develop these properties to pass QA inspection. I came in and audited and amended the financial accounting records. I had to make modifications throughout the hotel, breakfast foods, laundry equipment and supplies, reservation systems, and etc. I made choices to employ or let go of employees and interchange them with ones that could do the work. I strategically planned and organized a complete remodel of the hotel. Everything I did had to be in compliance with corporate franchise. I was able to cultivate the hotel from an inadequate position to passing inspection. This was accomplished by property improvements, employee moral boosting and training, and by getting the financial records reconciled. I managed approximately 100 employees, controlled all facets of management for these properties including employee benefits, recruitment, advertising, payroll, accounting and training.

Texas Federal Boot Camp - Feb 1996 – Mar 1997

I was the only Drill Sgt on staff that had no military background. I was able to adapt to the environment quickly. I even learned to call cadence. Definitely was a fun learning process. I was liable for all cadets' court ordered to the Boot Camp. Provided leadership skills, goals setting, self-esteem, and discipline.
