OBJECTIVE
I am a fourth year Honours Statistics student at Carleton University who is energetic and highly motivated to learn. I am seeking a position which would allow me to demonstrate my professionalism, strong organizational skills, attentiveness to detail, and ability to work at a fast pace, regardless of the environment.
PROFESSIONAL WORKING EXPERIENCE
SHARED SERVICES CANADA – MIDDLEWARE (MAY 2017 – SEPT 2017)
• I spent the summer of 2017 as a student intern working for the federal government of Canada (SSC – Middleware to be specific), where I was able to get a taste of what working independently in a professional setting was like. I attended team meetings, student conferences and was part of networking projects which helped me understand the importance of acquainting myself with fellow colleagues. My specific tasks there involved working with various operating systems, configuring servers and virtual machines, maintaining databases, updating and troubleshooting web applications crucial to many other departments of the government and creating ports to allow easy and uninterrupted access to and from many important government servers (i.e. RightFax). The student placement lasted just for the summer and so I parted ways with SSC Middleware at the beginning of the school year.
YALLA YALLA LEBANESE BAKERY (MAY 2014 - OCT 2015)
• I worked at a Riverside South Mediterranean restaurant as kitchen staff, where I learned the essential skills of being able to work fast under pressure, and to assist a variety of customers with varying needs. My tasks there included preparing food, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized at all times, working the cash register and serving food to customers. Due to the restaurant closing and change of ownership, I had to leave
