Augmented Reality Food Application - Basil & Thyme
UCSC Silicon Valley Ext. | May '19 - Present
1. Designing a phone/tablet food application that allows a user to view the menu items in Augmented Reality as part of a school course.
2. As part of the project, performed user research with different restaurant owners and customers, defined personas and currently finalizing the design. User testing to follow.
3. Utilizing Axure + Sketch for wireframes, Invision for prototyping.
No Doubt Farmers Market
UCSC Silicon Valley Ext. | May '19 - Present
1. Collaborating with 2 designers to designing a website for farmers and customers where customers can browse near farmers market and get information on seasonal produce.
2. As part of the project, performed user research at multiple farmers markets, defined personas of potential users, creating user journey model and currently designing the interface.
3. Utilizing Sketch + Axure for wireframes, Invision for prototyping.
EXPERIENCE
Volunteer Tech Mentor Mar ‘18 - Oct ‘18
San Jose Public library
• Initially volunteered as a teaching assistant for Coding 5K Challenge at the library, to teach children to write computer programs in Scratch language.
• Based on performance, asked to lead the class for the next session of the program.
• Success of the next class resulted in multiple requests from the parents and the library for follow-up sessions.
Automation QA Intern June ‘16 - June ‘17
Philips Innovation Center
Bangalore, India
• Developed end-to-end test automation solutions for CDPP applications using C#, Appium
and SeeTest.
• Worked on 5 different automation projects (which included iOS and Android apps) and
achieved more than 70% automation in 3 of the projects.
• Based on performance, offered a full-time position at the end of the internship.
RESEARCH
• Published a research paper on “A Survey on Different WSN Transport Layer Protocols for Congestion Control and Reliability” in International Journal of Engineering and Technical
Research, May ‘16.
• Published a research paper on “Software Engineering Accidents – What How Why” published In IEEE Sponsored International Conference, ICIIECS ‘16.
