About My Self
I really do enjoy learning new things. Whether it is math and science or practical, hands on things, I love the joy of understanding and also experiencing new things. I am always outdoors and that’s what fuels my two most favorite hobbies-photography and horseback riding. I can work both alone and in teams well.
The university I was in abroad offered these programs where twice a year for one week, we would be sent to different areas in Pakistan. There, we were given the opportunity to volunteer in different areas to uplift the standard of people’s lives. This encompassed construction, education, healthcare and much much more. This is how I came to appreciate the Public Health field.
My father is a doctor and as children flu season was the most invigorating time for us. A big tent would be set up at our mosque and we would watch our fathers give free shots to all. We would observe and also be taught many fundamentals of medicine in these times.
Similarly, once a year our community comes together from all parts of the world for Ashara Mubaraka. In this time a medical camp is set up. I have been volunteering here for many many years.
